Juventus have signed Mirko Vucinic from Roma on a four-year deal for a transfer fee of €15 million, the Serie A club announced on Monday via their official website.
The 27-year-old Montenegro international agreed to sign a contract to run until June 2015.
Tottenham were said to be linked with the former Lecce man, but Juventus were quick to tie up a deal after their general director Giuseppe Marotta spoke with Roma's Walter Sabatini to formalise the move last week.
And, having passed his medical on Monday morning, Juventus said the transfer is now official via a note.
Their statement reads:
"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. communicates to have perfected the agreement with A.S Roma S.p.A. for the permanent transfer and the sporting rights of the footballer Mirko Vucinic. The contract states €15m will be paid over three seasons.
"Juventus have also signed a contract of four years with the player."
Thus Antonio Conte finally gets his hands on the striker he has wanted after moves for Sergio Aguero, and Villarreal's Giuseppe Rossi went cold.
Vucinic spent five years with Roma, and before that he was at Lecce for a similar duration.
The move now leaves the future of Amauri up for debate as he has been strongly linked with an exit after being left out of the pre-season squad.
